Green deeds, big plans, and an international challenge! 🌍🌱

Our students didn’t waste a single moment and managed to become real eco-heroes during this project! Check out the video to see how it all happened:

  • Going "bombing" with greenery: they hand-made seed bombs and scattered them across our community. We are waiting for a flower explosion! 🌸💣

  • Acting as agronomists: they planted flowers and grew crunchy cucumbers from scratch (young farmers in action!). 🥒

  • Stepping into scientists' shoes: they tested a water filter all by themselves. Clean water is our priority! 💧

We are incredibly proud of our work, but we are also super curious to see how our friends are doing!

Hey, teams from Turkey! 🇹🇷✨ We’ve shown you our green journey, and now it’s your turn! What amazing things have you done during the project? Share your experience, videos, and results in the comments or your own posts. We challenge you! 👇

🌍 STEM FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE: Our Eco-December on TwinSpace! ❄️🌱

Translator

December was a month of deep environmental research, data analysis, and true engineering creativity for the participants of the international project "STEM FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE." While winter took over outside, the work on our TwinSpace platform was absolutely buzzing with energy and productivity!

Here is a look at the important STEM steps we took this December:

🧠 1. Mind Mapping Nature and Ecosystems

To understand how to protect our planet, we first need to understand how it functions. Together with the students, we created a large-scale Mind Map dedicated to nature, biodiversity conservation, and modern environmental challenges.

📸 Swipe through the photos to see our students in action! The shots capture moments of pure brainstorming as the kids enthusiastically filled out the map, linking ideas and exploring the interconnectedness of nature.

👣 2. Carbon Footprint Calculations & Certificates

Time to live mindfully! This month, our students turned into real eco-auditors. Using specialized online calculators, each student calculated their individual carbon footprint. We analyzed how our daily habits—from transport to diet—impact the climate. Following their research, the students earned their personalized eco-certificates.

💻 Check out the photos of our students completely locked in during the calculation process. Look at those focused faces making conscious choices about consumption in real-time!

🏡 3. Engineering Challenge: Greenhouse Design

How can we secure food for the future without harming the planet? Our next STEM challenge was designing sustainable and energy-efficient greenhouses. Students developed blueprints and 3D models of "smart" greenhouses, factoring in solar energy use, rainwater harvesting, and temperature regulation.

📐 Take a look at the photo gallery featuring our young architects and engineers as they sketch out and model the greenhouses of tomorrow!

December proved once again that STEM isn't just about theory—it provides real-world tools for environmental change. Our students are stepping into the New Year fully equipped with green ideas and fresh knowledge!

A huge thank you to all our TwinSpace partners for an amazing collaboration! More exciting things to come! 💚✨

🌍 STEM FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE: Our Productive November on TwinSpace! 🚀

November marked a powerful kickoff and an exciting introduction phase for the participants of the international project "STEM FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE" on the TwinSpace platform. We have officially launched our workflows, joined forces, and taken our first major steps toward a sustainable future!

Here is a recap of what our project-filled November looked like:

🎨 1. Creative Explosion: Logo Development & Design

What is a project without its own visual identity? Our talented participants dove headfirst into the world of graphic design. Using a STEM approach, the students designed unique logos symbolizing the synergy between science, technology, and ecology.

✨ Swipe through the carousel to see photos of the initial sketches and final logo designs! Every line and color counts here.

👩‍🏫 2. Meeting the Mentors: Teacher Introductions

Behind every successful project is an inspiring educator. This month, coordinating teachers from different corners of the world filled out their profiles on TwinSpace. They shared their experience, STEM passions, and their vision for making the world a better place together with their students.

🧑‍🎓 3. Our Super Team: Student Introductions

The real driving force of this project is our students! A massive, interactive introduction phase took place on the TwinSpace platform. The students created creative avatars, wrote about their hobbies, shared their expectations for the project, and talked about their motivation to explore environmental issues through the lens of STEM. A true international community is already forming around a shared goal.

🏫 4. Virtual Tours: School Introductions

We got a sneak peek into each other's worlds! Participants prepared captivating profiles, photo galleries, and video tours of their educational institutions. This helped everyone get a closer look at the daily life, traditions, and STEM labs of our partner schools, building a warm atmosphere of friendship despite the miles between us.

November has laid a solid foundation for our future collaboration. Ahead of us lie even more research, experiments, and eco-friendly STEM solutions!

Stay tuned for more updates! 🌿✨

Short Description and Working Process of Our Project

Translator

It is foreseen that the biggest danger awaiting our youth in the future is water scarcity, pollution and energy resources will become insufficient for the world population and these will cause to serious worldwide problems. In order to eliminate or minimize these problems that may occur in the future, it is necessary to take precautions today and to take initiatives against these problems that may occur. In this project, we aim to instill a love of nature in our young people, to raise awareness about pollution, scarcity, saving and production, to make them more knowledgeable and better equipped  citizens on these issues, and to teach them how to use the knowledge they have acquired for the benefit of nature.
